Should we use hand sanitizer?
Hand sanitizers kill most of the bacteria on your hands! Great, isn't it?
Yet, one should think if we really need hand sanitizers. Most of us in cities have access to clean water. We normally keep our hands away from dirt. We wash our hands with soap. Uhhh! Then why again, the hand sanitizer?
The soap clears away most of the bacteria and well, many of them are actually beneficial to us. Yes, first of all get rid of the concept that all bacteria and other microorganisms can only cause harm. Even if some harmful bacteria remain behind, they are too less in number to cause disease.
It is good to wash your hands with soap before eating but hand sanitizer is quite unnecessary.
